How we handle your details

This notice explains what we collect when you register an interest in Medium Rare Showroom, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who we are

Medium Rare Trading LLC, Rigga Business Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described below. For anything in this notice, write to joseph@mediumrare.ae.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site:

• Your name
• Your brand or retailer name
• Your email address
• Your contact number, if you give one
• Your website, if you give one
• Your answers to the qualifying questions — whether you are a brand or a retailer, and the business details that follow from that
• Your preferred time for a call

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies on this site, and we do not load fonts or scripts from third-party servers. Nothing is collected about you unless you fill in a form.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call. This is our legitimate interest in responding to a business approach you made to us, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• To send you occasional updates about new brands and doors. Only if you ticked the box. That is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

We will not use your details for anything else, and we will not sell them or pass them to anyone for their own marketing.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and our correspondence. They process your data on our instructions only:

• Netlify — hosts the site and receives form submissions.
• Google — our email and calendar (Google Workspace).
• Calendly — call scheduling, once connected.

These providers are based outside the UAE, and some transfers therefore leave your country. Where data originates in the UK or the European Economic Area, those transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

If we begin working together, for as long as the relationship lasts and for six years afterwards, which is the period we may need records for tax and legal purposes. If nothing comes of the enquiry, twenty-four months, after which we delete it. Marketing consent lasts until you withdraw it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can object to our use of it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email joseph@mediumrare.ae and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UAE, that is the UAE Data Office.

Details collected in person

If you give us your details at a trade fair or a meeting rather than through this site, this notice applies in exactly the same way.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
